This page contains RPMS built for for MandrivaLinux 2008.1

I built these packages either because they were not available anymore
in the standard Mandriva repositories, or because I had to fix some
errors in the packages from the Mandriva repositories. There are also
new contributions and cooker backports to 2008.1. Another motivation
for putting the RPMS here is that nowadays it has become rather hard
to make contributions to Mandriva, as they no longer have something
like the Club RPM booth from a few years ago.

NOTE: These are not trash-builds. I always take great care in building
packages, and strive to keep them MandrivaLinux compliant as much as possible.

PARDUS!

Recently i've discovered this Turkish Linux distribution called Pardus.
Pardus is an odd distro which does things differently on several counts.
They have written from scratch a completely new init framework, optimized
for speed, called Mudur, which truly starts the computer like a rocket.
They also created a new package management system called PiSi,
which is very transparent, even on the command-line, and is not (yet?)
subject to "bloat", like the RPM or DEB systems (which need second
layer tools to make up for the shortcomings of the original tools).

Anyway, it all seems very well thought out, and it wouldn't surprise
me at all if Pardus is going to be a big player in the future.
